Where is blackwind lake wow

Comment by powdahound 69,63 is a nice, safe place to tame these. When you tame them they have no skills at all so you can teach them i think 3 attacks claw, bite, can't think of a 3rd and your cat will be doing huge dps and will always be hitting nicely if you have bestial discipline and go for the throat.

Comment by I almost did get a stroke on my 70gnome warrior whit noggenfogger elixir shirnk and a shrink from a mob i was so tiny that this cats looks like a big monster and when i did remove noggenfogger and the shirnk got away this cats still where huge! Comment by if you were to tame one of these cats how long does it take to get a loyalty level up?

Comment by Thottbot They are pvp pets for hunters at lvl Comment by Thottbot Ok, I have run around a long time looking lol. How exactly do you get to this area on the map? Comment by Thottbot I actually got up there without a flying mount.

I went to I ran behind him until the zone changed to Skettis Mountains. I then let him kill me. When I released my spirit I was up in mountians. I did try this once before and failed.

I think while the trantula was killing me I either moved myself or was struck out of position. So I went back to make sure. Even with rez sickness I was able to tame just using a freeze trap.

Happy Hunting! Comment by Thottbot Your cat will get training points equal to that of it's level every time it reaches a higher level of happiness. How do you guys not know this?

A level 70 cat has the potential of ALOT of points. Now, he'll start out with a negative number when he's mad at you, but this goes away. Do I have to tell you guys how to make your pet happy too? Or did you not figure that one out after months online.

Comment by Thottbot Actually he will have the same amout of talent points after he becomes best friend as a pet you get at level 40 and level to Comment by Thottbot wow hes right you do not need a flying mount to get here.. I got online with a GM after a few hours of grinding and here is the quote: "While I cannot get into the exact mechanics of pet loyalty, I assure you that the mechanics are working for the pet you have chosen.

Please note that pets at higher levels are more stubborn than lower level pets. This cat hits like a mack truck - I had several "Kill" commands top I taught him bite and dash growl or course and gave him Natural Armor 4 before the points ran out - his armor is at or so. His health is which I will boost with new skills as the points become available. His stats are not all that different than my boar and his DPS is much higher. This is my new pet for all occasions.

Hope this helps - hang in there and he WILL gain loyalty. Comment by Thottbot I just flew around skettis lake 3 times with track beast on, and I didnt see as much as one of these cats Comment by Thottbot They Used to be right around where the skyguards are posted now. Comment by Thottbot Being a Cat his base stats are of course no differant than any other cat. He Gains Loyalty at a normal rate. Lack of XP Gaindoes not change the rate of loyalty Gain. I think unless you have taimed a creature at 68 or 69 it is easy to forget ow slow it goes.

An estimated guess of how much XP would be given from enemies will give a bit of insight into his loyalty gain. I tamed a 69 warp stalker and it took close to the same amount of time. SOrry sloppy at work on braek. Comment by Thottbot Quote from Petopia now stfu. Comment by Thottbot When I train a new pet I have him do all the work fighting and it seems to get the loyalty to level faster. It could be just me. I have it attack and then just auto attack so the mob dies the slowest by my attack.

I usually have 2 stacks of food at all times but during training I carry 3. Comment by Thottbot i have the pet im lvl 70, but it cant learn dash and bite and prowl and stuff because i dont have the training points do i still get the training points when they gain loyalty? Comment by Thottbot I found a 70 just on the north side of the mountain they are on, tamed it, then ran Durn where his loyality went up a couple, then SV where he went up a couple again and was at rank 5 by the end of the day, next day while doing some farming he hit rank 6.

Hes a great pet and i'm BM specs. Comment by Thottbot Coords of: 69,67 is around where I found them lvl Comment by Thottbot ok all.. I stumbled upon these guys doing a bombing quest for sky guard I tamed it with one ice trap He started out with the same armor that my level 70 ravager had after haveing the ravager for 10 levels..

I'm real happy with this cat.. And his distinct black and white coat makes him blend in real well while hunting,so hes hard to see.

Good Luck If you cant find them on my server feel free to contact me and I'll take you to where they are..

I'm on the Shattered Hand server and my name is Splatter. JPG This is without spending any training points on the cat. JPG I was prepared for a long long grinding session with the cat but I took it to farm heavy clefthoof leather outside Telar in Nagrand and was very surprised at the fact it took no more than 90 mins to get it to level its loyalty, and also surprised that it got 70 points at its first "ding", you cant see the points on the owl but she only has 2 left to spend.

Capping the cat was also very easy with flying mount , I flew right to the edge of the mountain, dropped a freeze trap and took a few steps back, the trap had about 4 seconds left and the cat was tamed, didnt need to fire any shots at all. Hope this is of use to you folks wanting to cap this beast. Old Man Barlo's daily fishing quest for a Monstrous Felblood Snapper led me to find on this site the suggested "easy" location to fish from - which is namely standing on the Shadowmoon Valley side of the river that borders Terokkar Forest and Shadowmoon Valley.

I usually fish this daily standing almost directly opposite the Bonechewer encampment that is to say, close to the Allerian Stronghold "end" of this river. In the past, I've usually landed some grey "quality" Felblood Snapper useless in all respects apart from cashing in at a vendor for a tiny amount of copper , and after several catches, invariably land the Monstrous Felblood Snapper and go about the rest of my business. In completing this daily the other day, in my usual spot, with usual gear etc i.

Here's the conundrum - I don't recall seeing any notes posted anywhere regarding this change, of course, with the sheer volume of WoW related news lately, this would probably slip under the radar anyway - but it has me curious.

Additionally - if I recall correctly and I have to confess some doubt on this myself , I seem to remember fishing the same spot not long prior with no usable fish being caught, and I don't remember any maintenance in between those two times - which, on the surface, would indicate that this may have been changed via a hotfix?! I'd be interested to read anyone's feedback on this, and also would like to take this chance to thank you, El, for such a great and informative site - it's helped me considerably back in the day when I was levelling fishing, and I keep coming back for more information on a regular basis If you are gaining other fish it is possible your bobber is landing across the river in Terokkar Forest.

The only way to be sure is to fish in the lava inside the zone. I believe El is correct Fair call - what puzzles me is that, without moving although obviously my cast lands in different places each time , I'm reliably able to catch the quest Monstrous Felblood Snapper standing here I found moving to the other side of the bridge north side made my Titan Panel change location from Terrokar Forest to Shadowmoon Valley.

The old spot I used it only two days ago seems to waffle between the two zones. As long as your character is standing in Shadowmoon Valley you can also simply open the map to see which zone pops up if you don't have a coordinates addon , the bobber location in the river itself doesn't seem to matter. I just checked this again, and the catch and skill required is still determined by where the bobber lands, not where you are standing. So the true border tends to zig-zag along the river.

The result is that sometimes you can be fishing in Shadowmoon, even when the bobber has landed in the water next to the Terokkar river bank. I've been trying to get Mr. Pinchy the last few days while leveling up fishing and found a interesting oddity. It seems that if you stand in the nook underneath the tower on the eastern side of Terokk's Nest island in blackwind lake the level requirement drops, this is the spot right in front of the eastern most fishing pool on the island. I had forgotten to attach my lure and was able to cast at at least though the fish almost always got away leading me to beleive the level requirement is close to that.

I'm curious if this is a odd glitch to my server or if someone else could verify this? Edit: It appears the entire southern part of the island is set lower, with some fiddling of equipment I found it to be at When the area was new, part of the water close to the island in the middle of the lake had the same skill as the easier waters of Terokkar Forest to cast.

One Highland Mixed School used to appear there. When they redesigned the area for the Skyguard daily quests, the obvious oddities were removed. But it is entirely possible there is still a very small area which is inconsistent. Make a note of where the bobber lands, and then try and swim precisely on that location. You should find the name of the area displayed above the minimap changes to something different.

I hear what your saying but that dosn't seem to be it, far to consistent. Upon further study, I'm still checking this out, the area apears to strech a considerable portion of the south western part of the island, breaks as soon as you step on the rock oucropping the makes up the far southern tip, and then starts again for the small part you can step on on the southern eastern portion. There appear to be at least two schools that appear in these lower areas.

Both seem to be set to I used to fish where the new questgiver is at Lake Silmyr in Terrokar with just a bright bauble and have no getaways. Now I cannot cast--was the fishing level increased? Just Lake Silmyr? I'm currently at in fishing gear and no lure. Same value as areas where Highland Mixed Schools are found. The rest of Terokkar Forest looks unchanged. Thanks for the tip-off. My guess is that the lake was grouped in with the elevated lakes on the last patch, so that the quest fish couldn't be caught by standing right next to the quest-giver.

Recommended Level : Territory : Contested. Requires The Burning Crusade. These are not shown in the table. Christhina , October I'm wondering if this was a "one time" occurrence or not, so thought I'd post here to share some information possibly and get some feedback.

Shircon , October I believe El is correct
