Like I said I have taken the role of, "leader" in a few games since But nothing as epic as my first Now the fun part My first year was epic. If you work in the industry Please keep my identity anonymous. Although honest, my bragging is not something I normally do. Humbility reaps lifetime rewards that are worth the journey. But the point is The 3 years I played introduced me to many friends I tried to keep Benin I miss the most.
We talked strategy so well, our transcripts would be arguably worthy of the title, "The Art of War 2. I hope him, and all my other leaders, generals, and players have also done well. I think of you often, and have the memories of some of the best game battles in my history of gaming with you.
This is an unofficial Discord server for people still interested in the game and the project of remaking the game, or even just talking about BYM in general. I am working on a preservation project, as Flash games are gonna be obsolete after this year, and God knows if the game is going to survive any longer, they can pull the plug from the servers at any moment. I have searched around in the site, and every file uploaded before is either deleted, removed, not available, or is password-protected, and got no where.
Doesn't matter if it hacked or not, just want an SFW with the game assets. Would really, really appreciate it. Excuse the name, I didn't want to make another account just to post this, and I have found this old account, so. I know that Kixeye has pretty much left this game to be consumed by the void, but I decided to play it again recently because it suddenly came to mind.
And of course, with no patches or help from Kixeye, there's going to be all sorts of bugs and crashes. My main crash problem is when I try to do anything with a resource outpost. If I stay there for too long, maybe like 30 seconds if that, the game crashes. So all I can do is basically capture an outpost and go there just for repairs and never touch it again.
Is there any way to stop or slow down the crashes at all? Not messing with resource outpost isn't a big problem but I don't know if there's a way I can make the game run a bit smoother or not. Everytime I get to the last sliver of health on the outpost main base it crashes the game.
Any ideas? Kixeye support is all but gone for this game. This is the place to talk about your favorite topic, to share news, theories, ideas, and to connect with others. The removal of the feature will mean that previously created Top 10 Lists will be deleted from your community and be irretrievable. As this community has a higher-than-usual amount of Top 10 Lists, I wanted to give you advanced notice so you can determine if you want to save any lists and, if so, copy the content elsewhere on the wiki.
Please know that the decision to remove any feature from our platform was not easy. Once you are at Map Room 2, players can attack anyone regardless of level. You can now conquer outposts to expand your empire. An outpost is like a mini-yard. There are also more servers that can be found here. Development started in the first half of , under the name 'Desktop Creatures'. BM was a big project for the Casual Collective. Early , it was decided that Backyard Monsters would initially only be released to Facebook.
This led to a lot of protest, to which Critters reacted with a parodic YouTube video, showing Adolf Hitler getting angry for this move. After the graphics initially had a different style, Critters decided to make the game look isometric. Some testers disagreed and thought that it should revert back. Critters argued that they had been wanting to go isometric for some time, but had never gotten around to it.
With the shutdown of Flash on December 31, , Backgard Monsters was no longer playable. This was several years after Backyard Monsters got abandoned shortly after the Hell-Raisers event.
On Tuesday, December 29, , Critters posted a news item saying that he was interested in having the game renamed, because unlike the name, the game had nothing to do with a desktop. The CC community responded with a huge list of new name suggestions and the game was renamed to 'Backyard Monsters' in Feb As always, a new game needs testing.
Normally this is done by alpha and beta testers only. After having been distributed to all alphas, Critters started to distribute a limited number of access keys each day this time, based on first come, first served. First this was done to beta testers, later to a broader public.
Each time an entry code was given, that could be used only by a limited number of people.
