How do lootshare points work

Its used a lot for masses whether it be the friends chat or group system. To use lootshare, you need to be in the friends chat with lootshare enabled or group at all times. You can turn on lootshare by clicking on the little icon at the bottom right corner of the friends chat interface:.

Lootshare will split drops between the players that have lootshare enabled. The player with the highest lootshare points discussed below will have the best chance for the drops. Lootshare points, also called LSP or lootshare potential, is the background system that determines who gets drops in a lootshare group. Each person has a certain amount of points. Basically the higher your LSP, the higher chance you have at getting drops!

Lootshare points reset down to zero eventually. The same works with negative LSP going closer to 0 from the other side. Pets are NOT effected by lootshare and are instead based on the top dpser or highest damage dealt by a single person. Players can move from island to island using platforms at the cost of runes. Players can also optionally buy 10 of each rune available at their level from Wizard Finix, enabling movement between platforms immediately. This costs up to points, but the cost of the runes equals their value when redeemed, so players will receive those points back when they leave.

Alternatively, if they just own the robes or some part of the skilling set, it is strongly recommended to wear them as they will increase experience earned inside the Runespan. An empty inventory allows more space for the items associated with the activities. There are 16 unique items collected in the Runespan.

Gold, green, crimson, and blue charms are worth coins each, while abyssal and obsidian charms are worth 1 coin each. CoinShare is an alternate toggle option for LootShare. To activate LootShare, the player must be in a Friends chat, and click on the money bag.

You will need to wait 2 minutes before it activates, and once it does, you are allowed to use it. With the release of the Grouping System , LootShare can simply be enabled for everyone by the group leader, rather than by the players wishing to LootShare.

This can save some hassle for new players and players who might not know how to enable LootShare in a Friends Chat. Regardless of how much damage the player dealt to the monster, if they share LootShare with the group that dealt the most damage and are within 16 squares of the defeated monster, then they are eligible for LootShared items. When a player receives a drop, the value of the item s on the Grand Exchange is subtracted from the player's chances of collecting another item, which is called commonly "LootShare points" lsp.

When a player receives a high valued drop from a monster, it is very likely their "LootShare points" will be depleted. The surrounding players also in the LootShare group gain a fraction of the "Lootshare points" based on the number of players in the group. Effectively, the chances of getting a drop increases every time someone else in the group gets a drop.

The ring of wealth and other such luck rings may affect drops while LootShare is on, provided that the tier of the ring applies to the drop table of the monster.
